The Tilling Kicks Off

Fred Conrad of the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Community Gardens Project (www.acfb.org/projects/community_garden/) came out to our garden today to kick off the tilling process.

Fred has been instrumental in getting community gardens started all over metro Atlanta and was one of the first people I contacted last year for advice on how to get ours started.

After tilling all of the plots we’d marked and trenched on Sunday, Fred moved on to the other side, and began tilling the rows we hadn’t yet marked. Thanks to Fred, we’ll be that much ahead when we get to work on Saturday morning.
